Our
Production Process: Decades of Experience
are the Raw Material… Innovation Puts it to Use!
Our tradition of in-house manufacturing
makes us uniquely qualified to produce
your next crane system. North American
Industries has decades of experience
custom-fabricating its equipment to
order, and a part of that tradition
is a continually evolving fabrication
and management programs that keep
our process up-to-date, accurate,
and efficient.
Project Management
From the time an order is placed
to the time your equipment leaves
our facility, our customer control
process ensures that you will have
one primary contact at NAI, who will
oversee the design and fabrication
of your project from beginning to
end, and who will be your advocate
as production takes place. Once you have approved drawings,
your project manager will schedule
the fabrication work for your project
on our master schedule, coordinating
with our purchasing and inventory
departments to ensure the materials
are in place and that the crane will
be fully fabricated in time for your
promised delivery date.
Production Floor
The cornerstone of our entire fabrication
process is the outstanding group of
people who carry it out. Experienced
skilled craftsmen work in our 55,000
square-foot facility to produce an
average of 500 complete and component
cranes per year, in five main areas
of expertise: machining, electrical,
steel fabrication, painting, and shipping
/ receiving.
All of our fabrication employees
are skilled and many are certified
in their particular trade, from Class
A welders to electricians. Many production
floor workers also participate in
developing their own safety and training
programs.
But it’s not just their skills
or hands-on attitudes that make our
production floor employees the cream
of the crop—it’s also
their experience. The average employee
has 11 years’ manufacturing
experience in our plant, and many
have more than 20 years!
Shipping
North American Industries routinely
processes shipments of all sizes to
virtually every area of the country,
and in some cases, Latin America,
Canada and the Carribean. Our shippers work with our engineers to provide
you with the most economically sound
means of shipping, whether it’s
a local carrier, flatbed truck or
overseas shipping container. We will
use your preferred shipping method
whenever possible, and are continually
streamlining our shipping process
to allow for easy order tracking.
From the moment we receive your
order to the moment it makes its way
out of our doors, NAI is here to provide
you with efficient customer service.
