Our Management – Family Roots Meet Wall Street Expertise

Jay E. Levenson

Jay E. Levenson was born and raised near Boston, but left for Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1980. He then attended law school at Case-Western University in Cleveland, OH, where he practiced law for two years after receiving his degree in 1984.

In 1986, however, company co-founder Norman Levenson passed away, and Jay decided to return to Massachusetts to help his father Paul run the family business.

Since then, Jay has worked in all aspects of the company, including production, engineering and purchasing. Currently, Jay leads the Sales Team and is spending most of his time ensuring customer satisfaction.

Jay remains the present-day connection to the company’s family roots.

Thomas J. Ullian

Tom joined NAI in 2003 after a sixteen-year career on Wall Street.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, Tom began working for the investment banking firm Lehman Brothers in New York as a financial analyst. Tom eventually left Lehman Brothers to earn an MBA from The Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tom returned to Lehman Brothers following graduate school. Eventually, he was promoted to Managing Director, where he was responsible for helping to shape the strategic direction of the Investment Banking Division and how it managed its businesses and its people.

Having spent 16 years helping other companies grow and better align with customers as an investment banker, Tom saw the opportunity to take a company to the next level directly with North American Industries.

Tom’s business expertise now combines with Jay’s knowledge of cranes to enhance our service to our customers.
