Veolia Entrusts Crane Inspection Responsibilities to CRISP (Crane Repair, Inspection, & Safety Partners) by North American Industries

January 2007

North American Industries was awarded a large multi-plant job by Veolia to complete a crane structural survey of twenty seven (27) bridge cranes and associated runways.

Veolia’s commitment to safety, concern for their workers, and desire to keep material handling equipment running efficiently, made Veolia an ideal candidate for North American Industries’ CRISP program. Veolia Environnement has environmental service operations throughout the world. The company primarily serves four market segments: water management, waste management, energy management and passenger transportation. Crane inspections and related services from North American Industries will help keep Veolia’s plants running smoothly and ensure the safety of over 270,000 Veolia employees. North American Industries can inspect older cranes for items such as integrity of welds, loose or missing fasteners and damaged structural members among other maintenance issues. Newer cranes also should be inspected regularly in compliance with applicable OSHA 1910.179, ANSI/ASME B30.2, CMAA Specification 78, ISO and insurance requirements.
