Customer: Multi-Billion Dollar French Corporation
Description: This customer, headquartered in Europe, has operations throughout the world and annual sales over $37.7 billion. The company primarily serves four market segments: water management, waste management, energy management and passenger transportation.
Problem: The customer had numerous cranes in multiple locations throughout the United States. With the cranes aging, senior management was committed to having all cranes at all locations inspected for structure & safety.
Solution: North American Industries was awarded the job to complete crane structural surveys of twenty seven bridge cranes and associated runways at 10 locations across the United States. Crane inspections and related services from North American Industries will help keep the plants running efficiently and help ensure the safety of over 298,000 employees of the customer company.
After the inspections were completed, some of the older cranes were found to be in need of repair. North American Industries has recently been entrusted with the job of repairing these cranes.
North American Industries’ CRISP program (Crane Repair, Inspection & Safety Partners) refers to a variety of crane services and was developed based on more than 35 years of vast experience in overhead crane engineering, manufacturing, safety and service. North American Industries can inspect older cranes for items such as integrity of welds, loose or missing fasteners and damaged structural members among other maintenance issues. Newer cranes also should be inspected regularly in compliance with applicable OSHA 1910.179, ANSI/ASME B30.2, CMAA Specification 78, ISO and insurance requirements.
