North American Industries Exhibits at World Steel Bridge Symposium
December 2007
North American Industries exhibited at the World Steel Bridge Symposium in New Orleans in early December. The 2007 symposium had more attendees and more exhibitors than ever before. The demand is increasing for gantry cranes designed for bridge work, and North American Industries specializes in this niche market. Gantries are often the most suitable material handling solution for bridge work because the made-to-order process allows customization while keeping material handling equipment competitively priced. The gantry crane for bridge work is often a sound investment that can be reconfigured for the next project or resold. It often weighs less and requires less space than alternatives. The most recent example of a gantry crane designed by North American Industries for bridge work is the one located on the Turtle River Bridge in Georgia. The Whitestone Bridge Project is another well known project where several gantries were used for bridge redecking (this project was featured in a Hoist Magazine article).
