North American Industries comes to the rescue in repairing and updating a 17 year old crane

A company regarded as a worldwide leader in the packaging industry had a computer controlled crane system used to access a library of printing cylinders. After working well for 12 years the crane started going through bridge wheels and required repairs and upgrades. When the company looked into it, they found that the original crane manufacturer was no longer in business. However, they were pleased to find North American Industries, celebrating its 40 th anniversary, well-qualified and up to the task of refurbishing the crane.

North American Industries engineered high quality replacement wheels and runway as well as laser aligning the bridge to the runway. Work was performed on a round the clock schedule in order restore the crane’s performance, safety and efficiency with a minimum interruption to crane usage.
