Transportation Division of Multibillion Dollar Global Company Chooses NAI as Winning Bidder for New Crane
January 2009 - A company named one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies by BusinessWeek recently selected North American Industries to design and build a new bridge crane.
The customer purchasing the crane made Barron’s List of Most Respected Companies and their transportation division is a global leader in many industries including the railroad business. In one of their facilities, there was a need for a new 10 ton bridge crane as well as relocation of an existing crane runway as part of installation. After consideration of several crane companies, North American Industries was selected to fulfill both these requirements and is currently engineering the new overhead bridge crane. The requirements of the 15 page specification for the crane were easily met by North American Industries who routinely sells both standard and complex custom systems. The crane has a projected ship date at the end of March and will be designed with NEMA 12 dust-tight enclosures to handle locomotive parts in the customer’s facility. |
